Check the adventures of Nutmeg for a blow by blow of this summers adventure. I did fight the same fuel leak all summer. I put a funnel under the fuel filter and caught the fuel in a bottle in the bilge. We also had trouble with the rudder stuffing box leaking. It leaked only when moving so we would get about a pint or two every 3 or 4 hours of motoring. We did purchase a new main sail from Bohndell Sails in Rockport. It is a loose footed main with the top two battens full and partial for the bottom ones. We also purchased a morring in Rockland harbor from Curtis Milton. Our friend Dale was instrumental in arranging the deal. we also got a deal on a pair of Stainless steel dorade vents which we promptly installed. Hauled out at Knights Marine on 9/9.

Spring 2025
Due to my surgery we didn't do much to the boat last year. I did drive down to Rock Hall and covered it but that was about it. I have been fighting with a diesel leak at the primary fuel filter. I tried replacing the crush washers but not much changed.
In the spring I serviced all 5 sea cocks with Spartan grease and painted depth marks on the anchor chain. I painted the bottom and installed the repaired water system manifold. I made a new manifold with ball valves instead of the old gate valves. I have found if you suck a tank dry you need to open the bow tank to fill the pump and then it will draw. We were launched on 5/13 /2025 a swans Creek Marina in Rock Hall Maryland.
