Spring 2022

4/20/2022- I came over to Rockland early and the yard was very full. I could not drive any closer than the paint barn. I removed the old galley sink and fitted the new one in.I played around with where to put the faucet. I put the hard dodger top on and then put the patterning material around and tried to make a pattern. I had made a new box for the water bottle storage and I fitted that in the salon. Then I removed the end of the boom and untwisted the lines to the outhaul so that it works now. I expect it to just retwist at some point but at least the bolts came out and I put them back in with Tefgel. I rebuilt and installed the rear gusher pump.

5/22/2022-Installed the new faucet which is hooked up to the foot pump. I installed a sprayer with hose to the pressure water. I disconnected the hot water pipe from the pressure water. I replaced the drain hose to the galley sink with sanitation hose. While there I serviced the sea cock with red grease. I installed 4 hex head bolts in the end of the boom coating them with Tef gel. I removed the windlass and cut a new hole for the anchor line to run through. I brought the base home to make a new one out of PVC board. I had made a grated stool for Alayne which will wrap around the tiller pad at the end of the cockpit. We'll see if this is a viable thing. I climbed in the bilge and painter the steering support beam with neutra rust. I will paint a second coat later. I also painted the engine mounts with the same. Added a new bleeder valve to the vented loop coming from the motor. I used one from a vented loop I had bought and attached it to the fitting I had earlier JB Welded onto the metal loop. I am prepared with an alternate plan if this fails to work. I replaced the batteries in the smoke detector. I then serviced all 3 mast winches. I installed an AIS transponder and hooked up all the wires. It should be ready to go.
